Bassitude Clothing Company was established by Jim Friend in 2013, fueled by his lifelong passion for fishing. After taking a break from his fishing and motocross pursuits to raise his family as a single parent to his daughter Emily and sons Preston and Clayton.
Jim started selling hats to fellow anglers and friends in 2013. By 2022, Bassitude expanded its offerings to include a wide range of hats and apparel for men and women. As an avid fisherman, Jim participates in fishing tournaments across California year-round, with his favorite spots being Clearlake, Shasta, Berryessa, and the Delta.
He is also dedicated to youth programs like 'Cast for Kids' and 'The Youth Wildlife Conservation Experience', one of the largest conservations teaching in the country. Taking time to teach children about fishing and the outdoors.
